Film & TV Tax Incentive Bill Passes Appropriations Committee

FUCKING SWEEEEEEEET!!!!  in what’s pretty much the sweetest news of this or any other day, the Appropriations Committee passed AB1839, Mike Gatto’s attempt to save the state’s film & TV industry by guaranteeing the same tax incentives that other states offer!!!!!!

The fate of the resoundingly popular bill had been thrown into doubt in recent weeks, when Kevin “Douchebag” De Leon threatened to withhold his crucial support, pending a list of demandments to the bill’s structure.  The committee acquiesced, and the state’s traditional random lottery system for awarding tax breaks has been replaced by a selective system that evaluates productions based on their potential economic impact.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to celebrate by smoking a big fat joint rolled with a blend of legally and safely purchased medical marijuana strands like Jack Herrer, Maui Wowie and Yoda Brain.
